Foot valve,Flange ,PN10/16 Description

The foot valve is used to prevent reverse flow in piping systems. It has a flange connection according to standard dimensions. The valve is rated for nominal pressures of 10 bar (PN10) or 16 bar (PN16).

The flange allows easy installation of the valve into the pipeline via bolted connection. The foot valve opens when fluid flows in the normal direction and closes when the flow tries to reverse. This maintains the fluid in the pipe and prevents drain out.

Typical applications include water pipelines, chemical transfer lines, steam and condensate systems, etc. The valve body is constructed from cast iron, carbon steel or stainless steel. Internal parts are made of stainless steel for corrosion resistance. The flange face finish and sealing is as per flange standard specifications. Get a quote online for bulk discounts.

Foot valve,Flange ,PN10/16 Design:

Valve Body:

•  Made of cast iron/carbon steel/stainless steel material.

•    Size matches pipe diameter and flange rating.

•    Flange ends conform to ASME/EN standards.

•    Body rated for PN10/PN16 pressure.

Disc:

•    Swing check type disc to allow forward flow.

•    Hinged at the top of the valve body.

•    Face material is stainless steel.

•   Rubber seal ring around perimeter for tight shutoff.

Hinge Pin:

•    Located at the top of the valve body.

•    Allows disc to freely swing open/closed.

•    Stainless steel pin with polymer bushing.

Flanges:

•    Integral flange ends as per ASME/EN dimensions.

•    Rated for 150#/300# or PN10/PN16 to match valve rating.

•    Flat or raised face with surface finish of 3.2-6.4 μm Ra.

The foot valve is designed for automatic operation based on flow direction. Forward flow pushes the disc open allowing passage of fluid. Backflow pushes the disc closed onto the seat preventing reverse flow. Simple and reliable design with minimal maintenance requirements.
