Brass valves are made from copper and zinc alloys for ductility and corrosion resistance, and added durability. Brass valves are stronger and harder than copper, but more ductile than steel and iron, making them resistant to cracking. They can withstand extremely high temperatures and will not rust. Why use Brass Valves?

Brass is an excellent choice for applications requiring high pressure or temperature ratings. Brass is less expensive than steel and is a resilient and strong material for ball, gate and check valves. We offer styles in three different sizes. Each type has threaded ends, which are the easiest to install with metal valves. We recommend a lubricant or pipe thread solution for best installation results.
Brass valves are an economical choice, especially for non-chemical applications where the corrosion resistance properties of stainless steel are not required. A properly installed and operated brass valve can last for many years. Our premium valves are made of cast brass. This means using molten brass and valve molds to form the body into one piece. Handles and stoppers are then added to provide on/off or adjustment functionality.
Both ball and gate valves are best for opening and closing use. It is not recommended to use this type of valve to regulate flow as it can put pressure on the valve. However, check valves are used to allow flow at all times – but only in one direction. As long as the differential pressure is met, the liquid is allowed to flow down through the valve.
